Wonder when i will find my pot of gold

Been a busy girl since my kids both dance and we have a concert in November i have been sewing Irish costumes. The green shirt belongs to my son. I will have a black vest over it with a Celtic design and a pair of black pants. A lot of work and that's only for one dance. I also made a dress for my daughter. Its fully line and hand painted Celtic designs. So all up Matthew is in four dances, Nikita is in 8 and my youngest is in 3. So all sewing for me is being put aside for the moment. Hopping to sew the sleeves in today and put the buttons on tomorrow while sitting at dancing.

A Treat For Mummy

Started my pants yesterday. I washed and dried the material in the tumble dryer. Yeah i know, but in my defence almost everything i own goes into the tumble dryer i don't own a clothes line. I can just see people now falling off their chairs. I also was slack and didn't iron the material and i can just see that coming back to bite me in the butt somewhere along the way. So i used my beautiful mothers (suck) to hold my material cause i read somewhere that if you have material hanging off the edge it can pull the rest out of shape. So it's all cut out and marked so this afternoon i am hopping to sew. Fingers crossed. oh if it comes up well i might make my mum a pair with the left over material hence she gave it all to me. Yep she is a gem.

A Treat For Mummy

I love how these pants flare out at the knee. The material was given to me and lets face it i am tired of black want something different. This picture makes it appear a shade or two lighter then the actual colour. It's Vogue pattern, it has a wide waistband, flared legs, fly front closure, side front pockets, and back buttonhole welt pockets. it uses a 7 inch zipper and three hook and eye closures.

Nail Colour Trend for Spring

I really agree with article. I like doing this effect on my toes cause i like to make my feet look longer then wider. and i believe this works.

Some of you may remember that back in February, Andrea predicted that wearing nail polish that blends into your skin tone would be kind of a big thing because 1) It's super easy to pull off and 2) It's elongating (meaning slimming) because it makes your arms and legs look just a hair longer. Well, it appears she was right...

...because I've been noticing this a lot recently on the red carpet.

Here's Demi Moore's tan pedi:

And here's one I spotted on Scarlett Johansson:

And then there was this look on Thandie Newton which also falls into the matching-your-toes-to-your-shoes trend:

Now, as you can see with this trend, you can either go for a full-on match or just something similar to your skin tone. Just depends on your preference and what shades you have handy.

What do you guys think? Loving this idea? Think it looks weird? Been doing this yourself recently?

After you tell me your thoughts, click here for the recipe they used to get a custom-blended shade backstage at Fashion Week.
